Proponent Games and Summitsphere have revealed that their “revolutionary breakout puzzle platformer” Antonball Deluxe will release on Nintendo Switch.
Promising “a high-octane smorgasbord of brick-breaking, mole-mashing, ballbusting action,” this is a collection that comes packed with three games in one.
The first is Antonball Arcade, which will follow Anton Ball’s misadventures after he tumbles into the Boiler City system after a hard night out on the town. To make his way home, he will need to use his jump, backflip and clutch the thousands of bricks that are blocking his path.
Next up is Punch Ball Antonball which stars Anton’s co-worker Annie Bell. She wants nothing more than to win the Punch Ball Championship to secure its grand prize, which is a lifetime supply of Ballble Tea. To do so, she must use her Punch Ball to clear five worlds crammed with “ballbusting moles, oozing snails and sentient baseball mitts.”
Last but not least, VS. Antonball is the third game and a “multiplayer exclusive.” This turns Antonball Arcade into “a high-octane competitive brick-breaking and ballbusting showdown” across nine unlockable stages, where up to four players will form two teams and must compete to be the first to destroy their opponent’s brick wall.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be launching Antonball Deluxe on Steam this March, particularly after the overwhelming reception our community’s given to the content we’ve released so far,” enthuses Summitsphere studio head Tony Grayson. “But we’re also very passionate about giving everyone the opportunity to play with their balls whether they’re at home or out in public, which is why we’re working hard to push out a release on the Nintendo Switch later this year.”
Antonball Deluxe will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2021.
