Fellow Traveller and Paper Castle have confirmed a release date for their turn-based JRPG Wander Stars on Nintendo Switch.
In this “one-of-a-kind adventure,” budding martial artist Ringo and secretive rapscallion Wolfe set out on a galaxy-spanning search for the pieces of the Wanderstar map.
Across 10 episodic-like chapters that take their inspiration from Cowboy Bebop, Dragon Ball Z and One Piece, in which the determined twosome engage in “grand mysteries, shocks, surprises, and epic plot twists, just as you’d expect from an iconic anime television series.”
They will use their fists, feet and words to battle enemies with Kiai, which is a unique form of martial arts. This sees them combine more than 200 unlockable words to unleash damage and creativity in equal measure, using them to overcome enemy strengths and expose their weaknesses.
Wander Stars will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 1 August 2025.
