Nintendo has announced that the next free update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be made available on Friday 3rd July.

This will add Swimming and Diving, presenting the chance for you to wear a wet suit and become acquainted with your island’s marine life and catch Sea Creatures that can be donated to your Museum.

You may meet the friendly visitor Pascal while swimming who loves scallops, and if you discover one while diving, he may ask you whether he can have it before rewarding you with mermaid-themed DIY recipes.

Gulliver will also start to wash up on shore with pirate-like clothing, and will send you a special reward to show his gratitude if you help him out.

There will also be another Summer update that “is planned to be released in early August.”

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
