Nintendo has confirmed that Animal Crossing: New Horizons was met with strong sales at launch, with 11.77 million copies sold in just 11 days.
The Nintendo Switch exclusive launched on 20th March 2020 and managed to achieve those sales between that date until 31st March 2020, which is an achievement that the company has described as “the best start ever for a Nintendo Switch title.”
Nintendo added that the game has sold 13.41 million copies in the first six weeks, outpacing both Animal Crossing: Wild World on Nintendo DS and Animal Crossing: New Leaf on Nintendo 3DS.
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players will set out on an ultra-exclusive Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package.
