Before you depart for your deserted island getaway in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Timmy and Tommy will ask you one final question: “If you could only bring ONE thing with you to a deserted island, what would it be?”
There are four answers that you can choose from for this question: a sleeping bag; a lamp; some food; or something to kill time. And, as a game in which you expect your choices to matter, you may be fretting over which response to select.
However, it doesn’t actually matter which response you choose. Whatever your answer, Timmy and Tommy will apologise and explain that it was simply a hypothetical question.
They explain that this is because Nook Inc. will “fully cover all of your basic needs,” and therefore you needn’t worry about leaving something behind.
Therefore, as far as we can tell from our Animal Crossing: New Horizons experience, your answer won’t have any impact on the peaceful island existence that awaits you.
