Today is May Day and to celebrate, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is handing out special May Day Tickets.
After Isabelle’s usual greeting when you first boot up the game, you will need swing by Resident Services to speak to Tom Nook to receive one.
As the business-minded raccoon explains, May Day is day when we are supposed to express our gratitude to those who work hard. Expressing his thanks for all the hard work you have put in to make your deserted island a great place to be, Nook Inc. has created a special May Day Tour for island residents.
Tom Nook won’t hand you a May Day Ticket as he has already left you one at the Airport counter. You only have until May 7th to use the ticket, though, so make sure that you don’t forget about it before the event ends.
You will need to speak to Orville at the Airport, who will explain that he has a May Day Ticket with your name on it. After selecting “I wanna fly!” you will then have the option to “Use May Day Ticket” which will let you set off on a special trip to a faraway island, that Tom Nook has organised.
However, you won’t be able to take any of your belongings with you although Dodo Airlines will keep whatever you are carrying safely at the counter.
Once you reach your destination, Wilbur will reveal that the tour is different than others that you have been on in that the whole island is a giant maze. Your goal is to make it through to the end with limited resources, although you can use your NookPhone to call the Rescue Service if you get stuck and want to reset the maze.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
