As you settle into your own deserted island paradise in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there’s a chance that you will soon discover Gulliver washed up on one of your sandy beaches.

The hapless seafaring seagull will randomly appear on your island, meaning that it’s hard to predict when you will encounter him. Once you spot him collapsed on the floor, you will need to talk to him over and over again before he comes around and wakes up.

Where To Find Gulliver’s Communicator Parts In Animal Crossing New Horizons

Now that he is awake, Gulliver thanks you for helping him and makes up some wild tale about how he was thrown overboard. He tries to contact his ship so that they can come and pick him up. The problem, as you will soon discover, is that falling overboard has resulted in his NookPhone breaking.

That’s where you come in. Gulliver believes that he can fix his NookPhone but, to do so, you will need to help him to recover the five Communicator Parts that it is now missing.

You can find these on the beaches of your deserted island, but you will need a Shovel to recover them. The good news is that you won’t need a metal detector to search high and low for them.

Instead, you will want to keep an eye out for small spurts of water in the sand. These would normally indicate that there is a clam that you can dig up, but, while you are helping Gulliver, they will show where you need to dig to recover the missing Communicator Parts.

Once you have found all five Communicator Parts, return them to Gulliver so that he can cram them back into his NookPhone. This will allow him to send a message to his ship to let them know his coordinates so that they can swing by and pick him up.

He will promise a reward for your trouble, asking that you check your mail in a few days as he will “send you somethin’ that’ll knock your flippers off!”

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
