Animal Crossing New Horizons Flick: Increased Bug Prices And Model Commissions

You may have already met the bug enthusiast Flick in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, a goth-clad, red chameleon who comes to your island in search of his “soul bug.”

The arthropod artiste hopes that this elusive bug will provide the perfect inspiration for his art – wanting to capture every wiggling leg and each joint of their antenna.

That’s where you come in. There are two activities that you can help Flick with. The easiest to explain is that he will buy any bugs that you want to sell to him, and will even pay extra Bells compared to if you sold them to Timmy and Tommy in Nook’s Cranny – 150 percent of their normal value, to be exact.

The other activity is Flick offering you the chance to commission some art from him, to create a bug model. This requires that you hand over three of the same kind of bug, which will then be turned into a realistic model that you can decorate your home with – making your neighbours jealous in the process.

Flick will be overjoyed at the commission he has received, explaining that he feels “the all-consuming fires of the creative inferno” warming his “be-coldened blood.” Once his “labors as midwife to the muse” are complete, he will ship your model to you in the mail – you should expect to receive it the next day.

Just like the fish-obsessed C.J., Flick will be around until 5am the next day meaning that you will have more than enough time to catch butterflies, spiders and other insects to earn some more Bells to boost your Bank of Nook account balance.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
