You may be searching online for flag designs as you continue to personalise your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Once Tom Nook has upgraded Resident Services to a building and Isabelle arrives to lend a helping hand, you can sit down with her to talk about changing your island tune and the island flag.

The good news is that there are 10 default Custom Designs that you can immediately choose from. These patterns are Airplane Flag, Deserted-Island Flag, Broad-Leaf Tree Flag, Self-Portrait Flag, Painted Music Notes, Footprint Pattern, Three-Leaf Clover, Vine Pattern, Flower Outfit and Plaid Outfit.

However, you will likely want to personalise your island’s flag design more than this. Beyond these, you can use NookLink to scan QR Codes to add more Custom Designs to the selection that you have to choose from.

Be sure to read that article for more information about how to do this, but remember that there is a limit to how many Custom Designs you can store in-game – 100 standard Custom Designs and 100 Pro Designs.

If you want to save time, you can also use a website such as ACPatterns to convert an existing image into pixel form. This will create a QR Code that you can then scan to transfer it into the game.

Whichever flag design you choose for your island, You will be rewarded with 500 Nook Miles and the interchangeable titles “Flapping” and “Flag Waver” for your in-game Passport.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
