As you continue to enjoy your peaceful island existence in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you will soon receive a visit from Celeste.
Younger sister to Museum curator Blathers – or Blathie, as she refers to him – she explains that she has come to your island to examine the night sky at his suggestion.
Excited that it is far better than she had hoped, she can see each star in the night sky “as clear and distinct as if it had been hand-drawn.”
Your conversation with Celeste essentially acts as a short tutorial to explain how you can look up at the night sky by pushing up on the Right Stick, and that there’s a chance that you will see a Shooting Star.
If you press the A Button when you see one, you will make a wish and, the next day, there’s a chance that you will discover a Star Fragment or Large Star Fragment has landed on your island somewhere.
Once your conversation with Celeste has ended, speak to her again and she will remember that she came across the Star Wand DIY recipe in one of her “books on the stars.”
It’s said that if you make a wish and give the Star Wand a wave, it “lets you become a whole new you.” Celeste will give you the DIY recipe as a token of your new friendship, but you will need three Star Fragments and one Large Star Fragment to craft it.
