Animal Crossing New Horizons C.J.: Seasports Challenges And Increased Fish Prices

You may have already bumped into fishing enthusiast C.J. strolling around your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

This energetic beaver loves nothing more than to call you a “fishionista,” and is touring different islands in an effort to find “fresh faces and fresher fish” for his livestream.

With fishing “reelin’ in” significant viewers on streaming platforms, C.J. is looking to capitalise on the public’s surging interest in seasports (move over, sports). He needs new fish to keep his followers interested in his account, and, well… that’s where you come in.

There are three activities that you can help C.J. with. The easiest to explain is that he will buy any fish that you want to sell to him, and will even pay a premium compared to if you handed them over to Timmy and Tommy in Nook’s Cranny – 150 percent of their normal value, to be exact.

This will reward you with more Bells, while C.J. can pretend that he caught the fish himself in new selfies that he’ll post to his blog.

Next up are the Seasports Challenges, which, if successfully completed, sees C.J. promise to “make it RING” and talk about you on his stream. He will tell you what fish to catch, but the goal will change with each Seasports Challenge that you accept.

This could see C.J. challenge you to catch five fish in a row without letting one slip off your hook to escape or to only catch fish of a certain size – making you become more selective about the silhouettes that you try to reel in.

The third activity is C.J. offering you the chance to ask his partner to make a “slick” collectible. These require that you hand over three of the same kind of fish, which will then be turned into a “SUPER reelistic” model that you can decorate your home with – making your neighbours jealous in the process.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
