It isn’t only Wii U hardware that Nintendo of America has reported an uplift in sales for, with the Nintendo 3DS family of systems performing increasingly well at retail.
With NPD Group’s September sales data now out in the wild, Nintendo shares that hardware sales of their handheld have increased by 25 percent in the first nine months of 2015 – compared to the same time frame in 2014.
The company also shares that Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer sold nearly 115,000 combined physical and digital copies in its first week at retail – having launched on September 25th.
They will now look to spur sales through the holiday season with Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash, The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, Yo-kai Watch and Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon.
