All Memory Locations In The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild


Here’s how to discover all memory locations in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Once you receive the Main Quest “Seek Out Impa,” you will journey to Kakariko Village where Link will be told that 12 pictures in the Sheikah Slate’s Album show Zelda’s memories from 100 years ago.

In the next Main Quest, “Locked Mementos,” Link will be challenged to visit the spots shown in the images that Zelda has left behind to recall his own memories from that era.

It will be more fun for you to hunt out these locations yourself, but, for those needing pointers as to where they are we have listed them below.

Captured Memory #1: Subdued Ceremony

The Captured Memory “Subdued Ceremony” can be located directly south from Hyrule Castle, and is activated at the centre of the Sacred Ground Ruins. Be aware that Guardians roam the nearby area.

Captured Memory #2: Revali’s Flap

The Captured Memory “Revali’s Flap” is unlocked when players pursue the Main Quest “Free the Divine Beasts,” and take on Divine Beast Vah Medoh.

Captured Memory #3: Resolve and Grief

The Captured Memory “Resolve and Grief” is located slightly north from the Great Plateau, and can be found on the western side of Lake Kolomo. This is north-west from the Forest of Time, and directly west from the Kolomo Garrison Ruins.

Captured Memory #4: Daruk’s Mettle

The Captured Memory “Daruk’s Mettle” is unlocked when players pursue the Main Quest “Free the Divine Beasts,” and take on Divine Beast Vah Rudania.

Captured Memory #5: Zelda’s Resentment

The Captured Memory “Zelda’s Resentment” can be found on the western side of the map, near to the Tabantha Great Bridge. The memory is located leading up to Tena Ko’sah Shrine, so you can use the Sheikah Sensor to help point you in the right direction.

Captured Memory #6: Urbosa’s Hand

The Captured Memory “Urbosa’s Hand” is unlocked when players pursue the Main Quest “Free the Divine Beasts,” and take on Divine Beast Vah Naboris.

Captured Memory #7: Blades of the Yiga

The Captured Memory “Blades of the Yiga” can be found in the Gerudo Desert, and is located near Kara Kara Bazaar. It can be activated on the north-eastern side of the oasis that is situated there.

Captured Memory #8: A Premonition

The Captured Memory “A Premonition” will require you to climb the Eldin Mountains, and can be found east from the Woodland Tower. The memory location is slightly north from Pico Pond, east from the Military Training Camp, but, more handily, is west from Goronbi Lake.

Captured Memory #9: Silent Princess

The Captured Memory “Silent Princess” can be found north-west from Hyrule Castle. It is on the Irch Plain, south-east from Salari Hill and is near the water that is situated there.

Captured Memory #10: Mipha’s Touch

The Captured Memory “Mipha’s Touch” is unlocked when players pursue the Main Quest “Free the Divine Beasts,” and take on Divine Beast Vah Ruta.

Captured Memory #11: Shelter from the Storm

The Captured Memory “Shelter from the Storm” is located along Hylia River. It is directly east from the Great Plateau, and in closer proximity to Scout’s Hill.

Captured Memory #12: Father and Daughter

The Captured Memory “Father and Daughter” will be one of the more treacherous that you have to get. It is on the western side in Hyrule Castle, located on a parapet near to Princess Zelda’s Study. The easiest way to reach it is to use the Zora Armour to swim up waterfalls, and then work your way around to it while avoiding Guardian Turrets. Climb upward from Princess Zelda’s Study, and you should be able to see where it is.

Captured Memory #13: Slumbering Power

The Captured Memory “Slumbering Power” is located in the north-east, in the Akkala region. It can be found at the Spring of Power, which is in North Akkala Valley – situated directly east from Death Mountain.

Captured Memory #14: To Mount Lanayru

The Captured Memory “To Mount Lanayru” can be found on the western side of Central Hyrule. It is at Sanidin Park Ruins, which lie east from Satori Mountain and north of Manhala Bridge.

Captured Memory #15: Return of Calamity Ganon

The Captured Memory “Return of Calamity Ganon” can be found to the west of Mount Lanayru, located at the Lanayru Road – East Gate before players wander into the Naydra Snowfield.

Captured Memory #16: Despair

The Captured Memory “Despair” is located on the east side of Central Hyrule. It lies along the Hylia River and is near the Bottomless Swamp, which is south-west from the Wetland Stable near Rebonae Bridge.

Captured Memory #17: Zelda’s Awakening

Once you have recovered the memories shown in the locations seen in Zelda’s 12 pictures, players can return to Impa in Kakariko Village. She will reveal that there is one final memory to recover, activating the Main Quest “Captured Memories.” This last memory is an important one, not only as Link will recover all associated memories from his days with Princess Zelda, but that it will place the most context around the game’s events.

It is located near to Kakariko Village, meaning that you will not have to go far to find it. It can be found near Fort Hateno on Blatchery Plain, in the middle of Ash Swamp.

Captured Memory #18: The Master Sword

The Captured Memory “The Master Sword” is unlocked once players successfully retrieve the Master Sword of Resurrection in Korok Forest.
