PQube, UNDERSCORE and co-developer Joy Brick Inc. have revealed that Aliisha: The Oblivion of Twin Goddesses is coming to Nintendo Switch.

This fantasy adventure game stars twin sisters Lisha and Aisha, one of which was born “nearly incapable to perceive emotions or affections” whereas the other “has the inability to feel pain.” After discovering an abandoned temple referenced in an ancient folklore tale, the sisters decide to explore the ruin to uncover its secrets.

Having been “built specifically around the unique hardware features of the Nintendo Switch,” the game can be played solo but has a unique local co-op mode. One player will control Aisha using the Joy-Con controller on the TV, whereas the other will command Lisha’s AI emotions-collecting robot AMBU using the Nintendo Switch system in Handheld mode.

“On their journey, they’ll face many painful dilemmas and difficult decisions,” the developer explains. “We wanted you to think about the impact of those decisions, and reflect on decisions within your own life. That is ultimately what inspired us to create this game.”

They add: “We want you and your partner to join in their adventure, to share in the bittersweet story of Aliisha, uniquely crafted for your Nintendo Switch experience. We hope you enjoy the game!”

Aliisha: The Oblivion Of Twin Goddesses will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in Spring 2022.
