Microids and Pendulo Studios have confirmed release dates for Alfred Hitchcock: Vertigo, a narrative adventure game which is coming to Nintendo Switch.

This “exclusive, original story about obsession, memory, manipulation and madness” takes inspiration from Alfred Hitchcock’s 1958 movie Vertigo.

After writer Ed Miller emerges unscathed from a car crash down into Brody Canyon, California, even though no one else was found inside the wreckage he insists that he was travelling with his wife and daughter. Traumatised by the event he starts to suffer from severe vertigo and, through therapy, hopes to uncover what had really happened on that tragic day.

Reluctantly confiding in his psychiatrist, Julia Lomas, she will have to fight against his reluctance to be able to descend deeper into his memory and discover the hidden truth.

You will have the chance to investigate through the vision of three characters that each has a different story to tell, exploring several timelines to cross-check the events in an effort to separate reality from deceptive memories.

There will be an Alfred Hitchcock: Vertigo Limited Edition that will be made available at retailers, which will include a standard copy of the game, a 48-page official artbook The Art of Alfred Hitchcock: Vertigo and its digital version and the game’s digital original soundtrack which has been composed by Juan Miguel Martín Muñoz (Blacksad, Yesterday Origins).

Alfred Hitchcock: Vertigo will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in Europe on 27th September and across North America on 4th October 2022.
