Spike Chunsoft and Numskull Games have confirmed that AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative‘s release date in the European and Oceania regions has been delayed.
The publisher explained in a press release: “Due to unforeseen manufacturing delays and global shipping slowdowns, Spike Chunsoft, Inc. and Numskull Games unfortunately must delay the European and Oceania release of this title across all platforms (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One). To maintain parity, the digital releases for these regions will be delayed to July 8th as well.”
It has been six years since the right half of a corpse was discovered under mysterious circumstances. Now, the left half has been found “completely fresh with no signs of decay” as if the victim had been alive until recently. Now, in this next detective adventure game, newly-appointed special agent Mizuki and her AI partner Aiba are tasked with solving the bizarre Half Body serial killings…
The game system in this sequel to 2019’s AI: The Somnium Files can be broken down into two parts – Investigation and Somnium.
The Investigation sections will take place in the real world, where you will need to examine crime scenes and listen to witnesses give their testimonies. Whereas the Somnium sections will see you enter the dreamworlds of suspects and key witnesses.
Those who purchase the game from launch up until Thursday 14th July will be able to receive the 3 Pattern T-Shirt Set and Hot Dog Costume Set downloadable content as a limited-time bonus, which can be worn by the AI-Balls Aiba and Tama.
AI: The Somnium Files – nirvanA Initiative will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in North America on 24th June 2022, and across Europe on 8th July 2022.
