Chainsawesome Games has announced that Aftercharge will release on the Nintendo Switch, a three-on-three asymmetrical competitive shooter-brawler that will support online cross-platform play between the portable home console, Xbox One, and PC.

Set on the distant planet of Dusk 11, on which a corporation is exploiting the energy that lies at its core. While having been designed to avoid industrial espionage, the company’s Workonics worker robots have chosen to defect in response to the planet’s now unstable energy – which has put the company’s extractors and all life on the planet at risk.

This sets up the game’s dynamic, as the Workonics robots set out to destroy six extractors as human Enforcers guards try to stop them. It’s a game of cat-and-mouse action as the robots rely on invisibility to dodge their enemies, who are invincible and impervious to attack.

“Having Aftercharge support cross-play with the three platforms at launch has always been super important for us, so we can’t wait to see the three gaming worlds collide this summer,” explains Chainsawesome Games communications officer Laurent Mercure.

“Aftercharge on the Switch not only makes the game playable on-the-go, but also opens the door to building a more unified gaming community without platform-based borders. And for those gamers who want to get an early look at the game, we’ll be showcasing a playable PC build at PAX East 2018, as well as holding a special Alpha playtest in April. So, stay tuned for more details!”

Aftercharge will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in Summer 2018.
