Little Seeds Music and Tall Story Games have announced that Adventures Of A Cat In Space is coming to Nintendo Switch.
In this interactive musical video game for families, you play as a cat who has become stranded in space after an unexpected mishap. To make their way safely back to Earth, they must explore planets, solve puzzles and unlock songs that will help guide them home.
You will be aided in your question by the ship’s computer, voiced by Olivier Award-winning actor and musician Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who, Broadchurch, Legends of Tomorrow) who also performs the game’s main theme song.
Commissioned and funded by The Space, the game has 11 original songs that have all been composed by critically acclaimed musician and children’s author David Gibb.
“I wanted this game to be full of musical surprises and be something really joyful that parents and children can experience together,” Gibb explains. “As they travel through the galaxy exploring planets they’ll get to hear rock, pop, drum and bass, jazz, funk, soul and a whole lot more. We’ve also recruited some incredible vocalists and performers for the soundtrack and I’m so excited to be able to share these songs in this unique and exciting format. Also the cat is hella cute.”
The Space head of digital innovation Harmeet Chagger-Khan adds: “Adventures of a Cat in Space is a charming and funny, interactive game filled with catchy tunes that you’ll be singing for days. The Space is delighted to support the project which sees Little Seeds venture from traditional music and storytelling into the gaming world to excite and engage younger audiences and families in new ways.”
Adventures Of A Cat In Space will be released digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2025, with a demo to be available from 24 February 2025.
