Activision’s CEO Bobby Kotick has shared that the publisher is “somewhat disappointed” by the Wii U’s sales performance since launch.

He had been posed with a question by an investor, regarding the sales potential of their successful Skylanders series on Wii U.

“We were somewhat disappointed with the launch of the Wii U,” Kotick began. “We’re concerned about the install base for 6-11 year olds. The franchise has done well on all platforms and we’re positioned well for Skylander’s future. We have a new competitor and we have high expectations going forward.”

Nintendo recently confirmed that Wii U sales had passed 3 million units globally, with 12 million software copies shifted.
