Well, colour us disappointed. It’s to be expected after missing out on last year’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, but Activision have confirmed that “there’s no version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for Nintendo Wii U planned.”

In a new post on the Activision Games Blog, the publisher confirms that Beenox and Mercenary Technology are working to bring Treyarch’s entry this year to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Technical limitations will see those versions only support two-player co-operative play in the campaign mode, rather than four-players on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Whereas other sacrifices have been made relating to “other features and functionality built specifically for the new generation of consoles,” although these will be detailed later this year closer to launch.
