Activision have today announced that they are to release The Amazing Spider-Man game, due to launch in Summer 2012 alongside Sony Picture Entertainment’s feature film of the same name.
Developed by Beenox, the game will feature an epilogue story occuring entirely after the events of the film, and is penned by Hollywood writer Seamus Kevin Fahey (Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, Battlestar Galactica).
It’ll see a return to free-roaming web-slinging across the entire city, and a new ‘Web Rush’ mechanic that allows players to pull off a vast array of moves never before possible. The World Premiere exclusive trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man will air during Spike TV’s Video Game Awards this Saturday 10th December, of which you can view a teaser for below.
The Amazing Spider-Man will release during Summer 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS.
