505 Games and OtherSide Entertainment have announced that Underworld Ascendant will release on Nintendo Switch.
This Kickstarter-backed action RPG is the next game to come from the developer that Paul Neurath (Ultima Underworld, Thief) and Warren Spector (Deus Ex, Epic Mickey) co-founded.
You play as The Ascendant, who Cabirus has summoned to the Stygian Abyss. Soon learning that only you can stop Typhon, a threat to both your worlds, you set out to uncover secrets of what happened to the inhabitants of the Abyss, gain favour with their descendants and share their knowledge and strength in order to defeat him.
With gameplay that encourages different playstyles and rewards experimentation, the dungeon environments that you find yourself in will react dynamically to your choices.
You can choose from different items, skills and abilities that will let you experience the game in many ways, often being forced to think creatively to overcome the challenges that you are faced with. While each decision that you make will not only hold great opportunity but grave consequences.
Underworld Ascendant will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide in 2019.
