Nintendo DS cult classic 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors may have never seen release in Europe, but Aksys Games have announced that they will now at least provide an alternative.

It is the plot that critics heaped praise on and this will now be represented in 999: The Novel, a visual novel destined for iOS that will trace the game’s narrative whilst stripping out all puzzle elements.

This will become available through the App Store on March 17th priced at $4.99, and integrates the flow chart seen within successor Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward that allows you to return to branching points in the story to make differing choices.
