After celebrating success last year by raising £2,500 for Starlight Children’s Foundation, the Mariothon is to return.

The annual 72-hour video game marathon will once again support the charity, broadcasting live throughout the entirety of the period by webcam.

Over 4,000 viewers watched last year, and the team is looking to see similar success again as they fire up their gaming systems on Thursday 25th October in Nottingham.

Viewers will be able to interact with the Mariothon Jukebox using credits earned by donating to Starlight Children’s Foundation. These can be redeemed to get the players to sing songs or dance the night away, all in the name of entertainment.

Several university gaming societies are also involved in the Mariothon Kart Championship, with the Grand Final taking place on Saturday 27th October at around 10pm BST.
