QubicGames and Claws Up Games have announced that 2D arena fighting game CHOP will release on Nintendo Switch this week.

Promising fast-paced action and a lot of gore, swords will fly, bodies will be chopped, and friendships will be ruined.

With support for up to four players in local multiplayer, the game has been designed “to give a feeling close to what you can experience in a fast first-person shooter, mixed with platformer setting and influences from beloved titles.”

That results in an experience that “speaks to those who like gore, comics, post-apo and are looking for a supercharged party game.”

With one-hit kills and respawning almost instantly, it looks to make for chaotic matches filled with glorious dismemberments and delightful executions.

There is also a Rush Out mode, in which your goal is to ‘rush out’ through your portal as fast as possible – defeating enough enemies to open it.

CHOP will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on September 13th priced at £8.99 ($9.99).
