Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has shared his expectation for Nintendo NX, speaking in a conference call to talk about the third-party publisher’s sales performance so far in the fiscal year.

At the close of the call, an analyst asked about whether Ubisoft had learned any more about Xbox One S and Nintendo NX since E3 2016, and if there had been any changes to their plans for each console.

“We didn’t get more information between E3 and now, but what we can say is we are really excited by the Xbox One S because it is going to continue to boost the market in bringing better graphics in the industry,” Guillemot responded. “We will be able to give more immersion to our players.”

He continued, “On the NX, what we have seen is really great. We think having a new machine coming, is going to help the industry continue to grow and to take a lot more casual players back to the industry.”

Ubisoft has been among a handful of third-party publishers to be open about their support for Nintendo NX early on, and these comments echo those that implied that Nintendo could “recapture” the casual market with their next-generation “dedicated game platform.”
