Miitomo is now available worldwide. Nintendo’s first-ever smart device application invites you to interact with mutually registered friends by using Mii characters, and can be downloaded from the App Store for iPhone, iPod touch or iPad, or Google Play for Android devices.
It has rolled out alongside the new My Nintendo rewards programme, which comes after the success that free-to-start social experience has had in Japan where it surpassed one million downloads in a matter of days.
It is the first of five applications that the company is producing with DeNA, the result of their “business and capital alliance” that was announced by late president Satoru Iwata in March 2015.
Miitomo has now launched in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, United States, and Canada, with more countries to follow.
