Nintendo Selects Program Adds Wii U & 3DS Games In US

Nintendo of America has announced that several Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games will become part of their affordable Nintendo Selects program.

From Friday 11th March, Wii U exclusives Super Mario 3D World, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3 and NES Remix Pack will be available for $19.99 each.

Whereas Nintendo 3DS exclusives The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Yoshi’s New Island, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Mario Party: Island Tour will be discounted to the same price point.

“Whether you just picked up a new Wii U or Nintendo 3DS system over the holiday season or want to expand your ever-growing game collection, Nintendo Selects are a great, affordable option,” comments Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of sales and marketing. “Not only are these games easier than ever to enjoy, but they also represent some of our highest-quality offerings in recent memory.”

The Nintendo Selects program was started on Wii, with games such as Super Mario Galaxy 2, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Donkey Kong Country Returns and Super Mario All-Stars all playable on Wii U.

  1. It took them long enough. Though there should be more games getting discounts, considering every other gaming publishers routinely discounts their games after a period of time.
