Pokkén Tournament Joins EVO 2016 Official Lineup

Pokkén Tournament has joined the EVO 2016 official lineup, the Pokémon brawler looking to make an impact at the largest fighting game tournament held each year.

The news was shared by organiser Joey “Mr. Wizard” Cuellar, who took to Twitch with Red Bull eSports Studio’s Mike Ross to discuss the lineup on Twitch last night.

In Nintendo’s corner, the Bandai Namco Entertainment-developed title will be accompanied by Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Melee, which return for a successive year. Whereas the rest of the lineup is rounded out by Street Fighter V, Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat X and Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.

Evo 2016 will take place between Friday 15th – Sunday 17th July, and will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Pokkén Tournament will release exclusively for Wii U worldwide on March 18th.
