Pokémon Trading Card Game fans won’t only have the XY-BREAKpoint expansion to look forward to this year, with The Pokémon Company International celebrating 20 years of the brand with the Pokémon TCG: Generations expansion.

The expansion has been designed to cover every stage of a Trainer’s journey, from the momentous decision where they choose their first partner Pokémon right through to facing elite Trainer battles.

It will contain more than 110 cards to collect, which include Pikachu, Snorlax, Ninetales-EX, Jolteon-EX, Mega Charizard-EX, Mega Blastoise-EX and Mega Venusaur-EX.

Boosters will be available in a Mythical Pokémon Collection set to be released across United Kingdom, Germany and North America in late February, before arriving slightly later on in the rest of Europe. 11 Mythical Pokémon Collection sets are planned to be steadily released throughout the year that each promise two Generations booster packs.

Whereas four Red & Blue Collection boxes will also see release this year – starring Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise and Pikachu – and will contain four booster packs.

  1. I wish it was a big set with 150 cards staring all kanto region pokemon. Their secret rares for this set could be Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur reprints from base set like the ones from D/P. I hope the release a booster box instead of only this.

    1. I’m quite disappointed with this set. It would of been nice to have the original 150 pokemon released. And the radiant collection aren’t all holo like they were in the legendary treasures set, and they have strange girly charms that don’t make sense.
