Nintendo of Europe has announced that Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition will see release on Wii U through the Nintendo eShop next week.
While retaining GameCube controller support, the port worked in the Wii Remote and Nunchuk in granting the player more control over aiming with an on-screen reticule, whereas other actions could be performed through motion control. The port was lauded by critics on release, and sits at a 91 score on Metacritic.
It will arrive on the Nintendo eShop on October 29th, with a 25 percent discount available until November 5th – notably becoming the first third-party Wii title to be released digitally on Wii U.
