It’s a new month, and we now know what new content will be released in the first Nintendo Download for this August.
Wii U’s Virtual Console service adds Donkey Kong: Jungle Climber and Star Fox Command, while Wegenbartho’s Sanatory Hallways and Beatbuddy from Threaks become available for the console.
Nintendo 3DS sees a quieter week, with a free Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden demo being accompanied by new add-on content for Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley.

Star Fox returns to its roots with a blistering space shooter on the Nintendo DS. Lylat needs help. Using the touch screen, players can draw the routes they and their teammates will take, then battle the enemies they encounter as they take over bases and strategically advance across the map.

Sanatory Hallways is a two player game, in which one character is Charla, a young student who is experiencing nightmares. The other player acts as Mr. Spook, a ghastly character who likes to frighten Charla by using one of his Spook Powers. In order for Charla to break free of the nightmare, she needs to find a blue key, but Mr. Spook prevents her from escaping by scaring her. This can be done either via direct approach or the usage of one of his many tricks, such as creating traps, turning off electricity and many more. Charla can defend herself with a flashlight, as Mr. Spook is vulnerable to light. In Bonus levels Charla is trying to find out the reason why she is having nightmares. More levels for both VS and Singleplayer planned to be released for free in the near future.
