Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct brought confirmation that Koei Tecmo’s Fatal Frame: The Black-Haired Shrine Maiden will be localised for a western release later this year.

Known in Europe as the Project Zero series, the Wii U exclusive will see players experience an unnerving journey as one of three characters that will each explore Mount Hikami. You will use the Wii U GamePad as a camera to investigate the cursed tourist destination, while fending off hostile spirits in what Nintendo are promising as “quick bursts of chilling action.”

Project Zero for Wii U will release exclusively for the console later this year.
