Nintendo have announced that they will launch Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, a spin-off that will see animals task players with furnishing and decorating their homes.
The Nintendo 3DS exclusive forms part of the company’s plans to expand and redefine their approach to the toys-to-life category with amiibo cards. The first set will feature Animal Crossing characters, and, once read, will allow players to design a room for the specific character shown on the card while scanning any additional cards will let those characters come to visit.
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and the amiibo card range will launch this autumn, when the Nintendo 3DS NFC reader/writer accessory is similarly scheduled to launch.
