This past weekend saw Super Smash Bros. for Wii U slam in to retailers across Japan, with Media Create reporting that it sold 227,527 copies to secure the software chart’s top spot.
It’s a strong start considering it was only on sale for two tracked days, and helped to double Wii U hardware sales week-on-week to 24,469 units. Meanwhile, the 3DS family continues to thrive with all four models available selling a whopping 145,420 units combined.
The handheld’s software continues to dominate the chart, with new 3DS coming in strongly with Derby Stallion Gold, Aikatsu! 365-Hi no Idol Days, Attack on Titan: The Last Wings of Mankind CHAIN, and Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3.
