Yoshi’s Woolly World weaves its magic in 2015

We haven’t heard about it since January 2013 but Yarn Yoshi at last returned within today’s Nintendo Digital Event under a new name, Yoshi’s Woolly World.

Players will explore a world constructed with yarn, cloth and textiles, weaving woollen platforms and warp pipes as they look to reach new areas to discover secrets. Yoshi throws yarn balls at enemies rather than his usual eggs, and can muzzle Piranha Plants by muzzling them with coloured string. A second player can get involved to work cooperatively, with Good-Feel oozing woollen appeal as they did with Kirby’s Epic Yarn.

Yoshi’s Story and Yoshi’s Island series producer Takashi Tezuka is supervising the project, which will launch exclusively on Wii U in 2015.
