Nintendo can celebrate success, having secured multiple nominations in this year’s 2014 Game Critics Awards: Best of E3.

The 29 judging publications voiced their praise for 47 different games on display at E3 2014, and while it was 2K’s Evolve that ran away with the highest number of nominations Nintendo made their presence known.

Nintendo received six nominations themselves, on par with rivals Microsoft and one shy of Sony Computer Entertainment. Splatoon has been nominated across Best Original Game and Best Online Multiplayer, while Super Smash Bros. for Wii U contends within the well contested Best Fighting Game category.
