Nintendo enlist Rufus Hound for Wii U advertising campaign

Nintendo have turned to English comedian Rufus Hound to advertise their ailing console, through a series of videos that seek to more thoroughly explain “The Wii U Difference.”

It’s a move needed to be made ahead of the competitor marketing activity soon to arrive on the scene for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Within this first video, Rufus discusses the “Gaming Difference” and the benefits of the Wii U GamePad, which “takes something great and makes it better.”

Nullifying needless menus is the focus here, with the controller described as being a “flaming bacon cherry of gaming glory.”

Nintendo will surely be hoping that such advertising will explain the Wii U more easily to consumers, and it certainly seems to be on the money after last year’s efforts.
