Nintendo 3DS system update version 6.2.0-12U now available

The latest Nintendo 3DS system update has arrived, activating the StreetPass relay feature previously discussed by the company.

This allows owners to collect StreetPass data stored remotely on a server at any accessible Nintendo Zone location, in an effort to increase the number of passes that users can receive. These are available at locations such as McDonald’s and Starbucks, with 28,000 Wi-Fi access points in North America and 24,000 in Europe.

Added support for the StreetPass relay feature:
– The StreetPass relay feature relays StreetPass data from one user that passes a Nintendo Zone to the next user that passes the same Nintendo Zone
