UK’s leading Pokémon Trainers descended upon Birmingham’s NEC last weekend, having set their sights on gaining a place at the 2013 Pokémon Video Game World Championship.

Victors across the Junior, Senior and Masters Division battles each won invitations and Travel Awards to the event, which will this year take place in Vancouver, Canada this August.

Competition was fierce, and for the first time used Swiss pairings meaning that players had to compete in far more battles to reach the top. Each winner will now face against competitors drawn from the United States, Canada, Japan, Korea, and across Europe.
