Kevin Fowler and his team are set to host a 72 hour Mario-based video game marathon, aptly dubbed the ‘Mariothon’, in an effort to raise donations for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

During their extensive session, they’ll be starting with Super Mario Bros. on the NES and will make their way through each of the iconic Italian plumber’s major console titles up to Super Mario Bros. Wii.

You will be able to catch the broadcast of the entire event, which is due to start at 12:00GMT tomorrow (Friday 28th October) at www.mariothon.org and the team promise competitions along the way.

Starlight Children’s Foundation is a charity that grants once-in-a-lifetime wishes to seriously and terminally ill children. The wishes can be as varied as swimming with dolphins, meeting David Beckham or being a fireman for a day. With the philosophy that happy children get better quicker, Starlight aims to distract children from the pain, isolation and fear that can often be part of a serious illness.
