The remake of Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles has been dated within yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, seeing the ambitious RPG preparing to send you on an adventure in April.

Nintendo have confirmed that Monster Games are responsible for the New Nintendo 3DS exclusive port, who over the past few years have worked on Pilotwings Resort, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.

The remake will support the handheld’s “super-stable” stereoscopic 3D visuals, and allow maps and character statistics to be viewed on the bottom screen. There’s also a new bonus mode that will let you view 3D character models, and listen to the game’s soundtrack.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will release exclusively for New Nintendo 3DS in Europe on April 2nd, and in North America in April.
