Nintendo has released The Master Trials, the first downloadable content to become available with The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass.

That introduces the Trial of the Sword, Hero’s Path Mode and Master Mode, but also throws in multiple items that will help you search around Hyrule in Link’s open-air adventure. The next that we will help you discover, is Midna’s Helmet.

What Is Midna’s Helmet?

Midna appeared as a companion character for Link in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on Wii and GameCube, playing an important role in helping the hero traverse the Twilight Realm.

Her Helmet was the physical manifestation of extremely powerful shadow magic that was passed on to the royal family in the Twilight Realm, and, when worn by Link in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, will add Guardian Resist Up to boost Link’s defense.

Clue To Find Midna’s Helmet

The EX Treasure: Twilight Relic side quest will guide you to Misko’s EX Journal in the Outpost Ruins, in which the great bandit has detailed where he has hidden the clothing and armor that he has stolen. The clue related to Midna’s Helmet reads:

“The princess of twilight, whose stories are handed down alongside those of the Hero of Twilight… Her helmet can be found at the temple ruins soaked in the waters of Regencia River.”

Where To Find The Midna’s Helmet Treasure Chest

Regencia River runs west from Hyrule Castle and it is the Sage Temple Ruins that the clue refers to. The closest warp points are Central Tower or Sheem Dagoze Shrine if you have discovered it, from which it is a short glide and sprint away.

The Sage Temple Ruins are submerged in water, making this treasure chest far harder to discover. It lies in the north-eastern area, near some abandoned weapons – near the water’s edge before it becomes deeper on the map.
