Nintendo has confirmed that the next free update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be released this week, on Thursday 28th January 2021.

This introduces the Festivale event which will take place on 15th February 2021, when Pavé will arrive at your island’s plaza to entrap your villager and island residents in the rhythms of a dance party. You will have the chance to collect colourful Rainbow Feathers on the day of the event, which you will be able to trade with Pavé.

Nook’s Cranny will also sell the Viva Festival Reaction Set for a limited time, which includes new reactions in Feelin’ It, Let’s Go, Viva and Confetti.

Whereas the Able Sisters shop will stock new Festival clothing for a limited time to let you “groove on in style,” while new seasonal items will be made available through Nook Stop in Resident Services and through Nook Shopping.

There will be chocolate hearts and heart-shaped bouquets available for purchase from 1st February – 14th February, along with other items related to Groundhog Day and Big Game Celebration “available for certain periods during January and February.”

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available exclusively for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
