The Pokémon Company has revealed that the Island Challenge will return in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon.

The Island Challenge is an adventurous rite that involves travelling through each of the four islands in the Alola region. It is seen as an aspect that has grown from the unique culture that has developed in the region and helps children become full-fledged Pokémon Trainers.

That will see young Trainers overcome trials that can see them battling with Pokémon, finding items, or testing their knowledge, leading to them facing a mighty Pokémon that is known as a Totem Pokémon. These are much larger than others of their species, and their body is enveloped in a special aura.

In Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon, the Island Challenge will change some challenges compared to those seen in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon with a new Trial that will be set by Captain Mina.

As you work through the Island Challenge, you will be confronted with trouble that involves the Legendary Pokémon Necrozma.

Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon will release exclusively for Nintendo 3DS worldwide on November 17th.
