Over The Moon has announced that The Fall will release on Nintendo Switch next week, their award-winning sci-fi adventure in which you play as ARID (Armoured Robotics Interface Device).

The artificial intelligence has been placed in a high-tech combat suit, but, after hurtling towards a planet, the human pilot has been rendered unconscious. It is up to you to take control of the suit and drag his lifeless body as you look for ways to resuscitate him.

The Nintendo Switch version runs at 1080p and 60 frames per second when docked in TV mode, and at 720p and 60 frames per second in Handheld or Tabletop mode. It has a number of lighting and rendering improvements, as well as control, gameplay, and user experience enhancements that have been carried over from the game’s sequel, The Fall Part 2: Unbound.

“I can’t wait for Nintendo Switch players to finally experience The Fall,” shared Over the Moon creative director and founder, John Warner. “For those players that enjoyed The Fall Part 2: Unbound, this is where it started. For everybody else, now you have two deep, narrative sci-fi experiences to dive into.”

The Fall will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on May 10th, priced at £7.99 (€8.99 / $9.99), with a 30 percent discount available for the first 14 days on sale.
