Headup Games has announced that it has teamed up with Nicalis for a “strategic alliance” that will see the publisher release The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ at retail in Europe and Australia.
They hint that more releases are planned beyond Isaac’s roguelike descent into hell, with more detailes promised at a later date.
“Nicalis has sought a partner that can take good care of our European fanbase. And with Headup Games, we’ve found it,” explains Nicalis president Tyrone Rodriguez. “They’re going to do their best to ensure our games get into the hands of European players.”
Headup Games founder Dieter Schoeller adds: “We are thrilled to be working on The Binding of Isaac again. A couple of years back we launched the PC Collector’s Edition for the very first Isaac game on PC, and it’s time to open a new chapter for our favorite little boy.”
The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ will release for in Europe in Q2 2017, priced at €39.99.
