Hoopa to be distributed exclusively at GAME from October 23rd

The Pokémon Company has announced that Mythical Pokémon Hoopa will be distributed exclusively at GAME between Friday 23rd October – 5th November 2015 in the United Kingdom.

The special Level 50 Pokémon can not be found during normal gameplay, and will be available to Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire players.

It will be distributed in its Confined form, but can transform into the powerful Hoopa Unbound in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire.

Mythical Hoopa has the Magician Ability, and will already know the Hyperspace Hole, Psychic, Astonish and Nasty Plot moves.

Those that head to their local store can ask for a unique code, which will be printed on a receipt and can then be used in-game to receive Hoopa:

1. Select Mystery Gift on the main menu, and then Receive Gift. Select Yes to confirm.
2. Select Get With Code, and then select Yes to confirm.
3. Enter code.
4. Resume the game, ensure there is enough space, and speak to the delivery girl in any Pokémon Center to receive Hoopa.
5. Save the game!

Hyperspace Hole
The Hoopa that will be given away knows the move Hyperspace Hole, a new move that only Hoopa can learn. Even when the target has used moves like Protect or Detect, you’ll be able to deal serious damage with this move.

This Ghost-type move Astonish can cause the opponent to flinch. It’s super effective against Ghost-type Pokémon, usually one of Hoopa’s greatest weaknesses!

Psychic is a Psychic-type move can lower an opponent’s Sp. Defense. Hoopa shares this move’s type, so its power will be boosted by 50%!

Nasty Plot
The Nasty Plot move raises the user’s own Sp. Attack by 2. Raise Hoopa’s Sp. Attack, and you’ll be able to unleash massive damage with Hyperspace Hole and Psychic!

Shovel Knight’s retail version locks in release dates

Yacht Club Games has provided an update on Shovel Knight’s retail version, now inbound to stores across Europe on October 30th and North America on November 3rd.

“The final few steps of the Plague of Shadows content took a little longer than expected, but it was important to us that this update to be on the disc/cart right out of the box! Unfortunately that meant we had to push back the date just a little a bit,” their update explains. “Luckily, all of the teams throughout the various console manufacturing steps have been really helpful in reducing this knock-on delay as much as possible.”

The retail version’s price has also increased to $24.99 in an effort to encourage retailers to designate shelf space to it, with every copy coming with a free soundtrack download.

As for the Shovel Knight amiibo that Yacht Club Games are handling manufacturing and distribution for, a release date still hasn’t been nailed down.

“We’re still pinning down a final release date. As soon as we know, you’ll know! Many have asked for us to open up preorders in North America — and so do know that we are considering it. Hopefully when we announce the release date we’ll have more info on that front!”

Chibi-Robo! amiibo unlocks Chibi-Capsule vending machine in Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash

Nintendo has shared more information about what the Chibi-Robo! amiibo unlocks in Nintendo 3DS exclusive Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash.

We knew that scanning the ammibo would empower the tiny robot to become Super Chibi-Robo, but will be the only way that you can access the Chibi-Capsule vending machine in Chibi-House. Players can then use the machine to unlock collectable in-game figurines and bonus stages.

Recording in-game score data will allow you to level up the Chibi-Robo amiibo, increasing the number of times that Super Chibi-Robo can be used per day while improving the likelihood that the Chibi-Capsule vending machine will reward you with rarer items.

Meanwhile, other amiibo figures may be used once per day to earn spendable in-game coins.

Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash releases exclusively for Nintendo 3DS in North America on October 9th, and in Europe on November 6th.

Disney Interactive promised to unmask a new Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition figure today, having since revealed that Captain America – The First Avenger will join the fray.

The news was shared alongside revealing that the Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set would become the first to support four-players through the introduction of a new “arcade brawler style of gameplay.”

The new model is seemingly styled around the character’s costume in May 2016 blockbuster Captain America: Civil War – the role played by Chris Evans – that will take place after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The Play Set will be compatibile with all Disney Infinity Marvel characters – including the new Hulkbuster and Ultron figures, with more to be announced over the coming months.

Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition’s Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set revealed

Named at D23 Expo, Disney Interactive has today revealed more details surrounding the Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set bound for Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition in March 2016.

Developed by United Front Games in tandem with Avalanche Software, it will boast an original Marvel storyline and introduce a “new four-player, arcade brawler style of gameplay” – making it the first Play Set to support four-player gameplay.

The storyline will see Ultron team up with Loki to steal Asgard’s Infinity Stone, achieved by creating robotic replicas of the Marvel Super Heroes in an effort to distract the team by turning them against each other. Locations recreated in-game include a wrecked Brooklyn train yard, Wakanda and S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Lunar Base, with the Play Set culminating in a universe-shaking battle against Ultron.

Compatibile with all Disney Infinity Marvel characters, Marvel Battlegrounds supports the widest selection of playable characters in a Play Set – including the new Hulkbuster, Ultron and Captain America – The First Avenger figures with more to be announced.

Whereas all Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition Marvel figures will have adapted abilities and skills that will “complement the new style of gameplay” in Marvel Battlegrounds.

“With Disney Infinity 3.0, we’ve aimed to provide a wider variety of gameplay than ever before, and the Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set represents our commitment to developing something entirely new for our players,” comments Disney Infinity’s senior vice president and general manager John Blackburn. “The four-player arena style combat gameplay is a perfect way for friends and families to come together and play in head-to-head battles with some of their favorite Marvel characters.”

Team Meat tease Super Meat Boy for Wii U

Having been destined for WiiWare with more levels and multiplayer modes chopped, Team Meat abandoned plans to bring Super Meat Boy to Wii after the game’s file size grew beyond Nintendo’s imposed limit.

Five years later, and this week has seen the challenging platformer release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. But within their celebratory post, it would appear that it will soon arrive on Wii U.

“To the fan’s we’re still excluding I’ll leave you with this: Wii haven’t forgotten about U,” co-founder Tommy Refenes teases.

Hopefully we’ll have more concrete confirmation soon!
