Nintendo has revealed that Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will introduce a new Snapshot Mode.

“Be sure to take some photos of your adventure using Snapshot Mode,” Nintendo enthuses in the game’s new overview trailer. “Rotate the camera. Zoom in. Add a filter. Or place Stamps that you have collected along the way.”

Those Stamps were once unlocked for use in Miiverse, but can now be placed in the game’s environment to create comedic snaps to share with others online.

The original Wii U game has been “enhanced” for the portable home console. Super Mario 3D World was the first 3D instalment to ever feature multiplayer, with players joining each other on a grand adventure that only the Mushroom Kingdom can provide, as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad – each with their own unique characteristics.

There are also new Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo figures that will be released at the same time as the game, with the previous Bowser and Bowser Jr. amiibo to also be compatible with the Bowser’s Fury mode.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 12th February 2021.
