Bandai Namco Entertainment are working on “several” titles for Nintendo NX, which is the latest rumour to surround the “dedicated game platform.”

That’s according to Kantan Games CEO Dr. Serkan Toto, who added that Super Smash Bros. is planned to be a launch title for Nintendo’s system which remains shrouded in secrecy. Providing clarity on his claim, he added: “I haven’t heard if it’s a completely new (numbered) Smash Bros or not. Otherwise, source situation is solid.”

In October, Toto had provided a tip off that Nintendo were to imminently announce Miitomo – seemingly having become aware of the project’s identity beforehand.

Nintendo worked closely with Bandai Namco on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, a collaboration that saw the third-party publisher form a “never-before-seen dream team.”

Tekken game director Katsuhiro Harada had shared how development had been treated as a “big priority,” with Nintendo appreciating their camaraderie and expertise on the project.
